There are two reasons you might not be getting in, and they look the same from here. Read both before you ring anyone.
Then your password is not the problem. After several wrong ones an account stops answering for a few minutes, even to the right password. Wait the time it shows you and try again. An administrator can lift it straight away if you cannot wait.
Passwords cannot be recovered, only replaced: yours is stored in a form that nobody, including an administrator, can read back. Ask an administrator to reset it from Admin, then Users. It takes them under a minute.
They will give you a temporary one. The moment you sign in with it, the tool asks you to choose your own, and from then on nobody else knows it.
